
The Real Estate Staging Association will be holding RESACON Vegas July 23, 24, 25, 2020 at the amazing M Resort Luxury Hotel Spa and Casino in Las Vegas.
RESA is looking for qualified experts to teach a 75-minute educational session on various topics. Based on feedback from our members, we’re seeking experts on the following topics:
- Any topics (you may submit as many as you like) you think would benefit you and other home stagers attending our conference
- Mastering and Managing Social Media
- Branding Strategies
- Apps/Websites/SEO
- Learning when to outsource – and when to hire
- How to blog like a pro – and make money from it!
- Real life conflicts common to home stagers and how to resolve them
- The Benefits of adding Professional Organizing to your Business Model
- How to get involved with staging model homes – and what comes along with that
- Adding holiday decorating to your business model and what to expect
- Staging for Air Bnb
- How to Organize the Administrative Side of Your Business
- Photo Styling: How to Take Better Photos of Your Staging Projects that WOW buyers and how to work with professional photographers.
- Day-To-Day Staging Tips and Tricks
- How to run a successful staging business solo
- Creating an online portfolio that will get clients to call
- Case studies of difficult stagings and how they were handled
- Case studies of difficult clients and how they were handled
- Marketing Strategies, Tactics, and Campaigns to help grow your business
- Set Decorating – how home stagers can incorporate this into their service offerings.
- Staging in the Luxury market – what you need to know
- The Pros and Cons of adding staff and best practices for success as your business grows
- Developing an Exit Strategy: How to set up your staging business for a potential sale
- How to offer 401ks and insurance for your team
- Saving strategies for Business owners
- How to weather a recession/downturn
- Warehouse Management & The Pros and Cons of Having Your Own Inventory
- Smart Inventory practices
- Creative session on doing on the go touch-ups and refinishing projects, etc.
- How to be profitable without buying inventory
- Pricing strategies for your market: How to ensure your business remains profitable and competitive at the same time
- Color concepts and use of trendy design colors in staging
- Team Building activities that our attendees could bring back to their teams at home
- Inquiry to pickup – Behind the scenes from office to put away what does it look like for high production companies look like. 5 plus stages a week.
- How to leverage being a woman-/vet-/minority-owned business and certifications you can get to grow your business!
- Staff responsibilities
- Time management
- Assistant stagers – tips on searching for and hiring part-time and full-time staff (both as stagers and warehouse/logistics)
- Any other “Advanced Level” topic
These classes will be broken up into four categories:
- Newbie Stagers
- Mid-Level Stagers
- Advanced Level Stagers
- Niche Stagers
Please include:

- A simple outline of your suggested topic and all areas to be included
- The topic title, a paragraph describing your class, and at least 3-Learning Objectives
- Please indicate if your class is most appropriate for a Newbie, Mid-Level stager, Advanced stager, or Niche Stager (select more than one level if applicable)
- Two or three sentences describing why you are qualified to be considered an Expert on this topic
- A speaker bio-this will be used on our website to promote your class if your class is chosen
- A speaker demo is required if you’ve never presented at a RESA convention. NOTE: A speaker demo is a video and should be long enough for the committee to get a sense of your speaking style. It does not have to be professionally shot. If your video exists on the Internet, please include a link.
Your submission should be submitted in WORD. Please use proper grammar and punctuation in all of your submissions. If your topic is chosen, this information will be used to promote your class. Please name your WORD document with your first name, last name and presentation title. In exchange for speaking, RESA members who are selected will receive a complimentary RESACON ticket as compensation.
Restrictions: Presentations that are “sales pitches” will be rejected. Presentations must give valuable information to attendees and not be oriented to sell any products or services.
