Maureen Bray entered the world of professional home staging after working in a variety of real estate-related fields including having a real estate license, owning investment property, and property management. This experience combined with her business background in corporate sales & marketing and customer service provided a perfect foundation for Maureen to follow her dream of helping homeowners and Realtors sell their properties faster. In 2006, she established Room Solutions Staging LLC in Portland, Oregon, and has seen steady growth in her business each year since its inception.
One of the most satisfying aspects of her home staging career has been Maureen’s ability to connect with and help newer home stagers through online platforms and forums as well as through local mentor-ship opportunities. Maureen believes that in order to hone their staging skills, the best home stagers have a combination of effective, ongoing training and lots of hands-on experience.
Maureen’s work has been featured in multiple episodes of HGTV’s My First Place, online @ About.com, on local TV news features, and in publications including Angie’s List Magazine, Personal Real Estate Investor, Portland Business Journal, Portland Monthly, and The Oregonian. She moderates two home staging-related blogging forums on the Active Rain Real Estate Network (Stage It Forward and Real World Home Staging for Newbies).
Angie’s List awarded Room Solutions Staging their coveted “Super Service” award for both 2011 and 2010, based on local consumer reviews.
During the Real Estate Staging Association’s 2012 annual convention, Maureen was named 2012 Professional Stager of the Year for the West Region. She was a Finalist in the same category in 2011. Maureen looks forward to presenting on the Newbie Q & A Panel during RESA’s 2013 Convention, and also serving as a judge in the ‘Rising Star’ Category for 2013.
